Oral Surgeon Horace K. Wood, DMD
Dr. Wood was born and raised in the Low Country of South Carolina. He has lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland since beginning his practice of Oral Surgery in 1993. Dr. Wood’s training and education are on a unparalled level. He received a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina. He continued his education with four years of Dental School and a two year General Practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following this, he was accepted and completed a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program also at the Medical University of South Carolina.
After completion of his training Dr. Wood moved to Maryland where he joined a practice in Severna Park. He then opened his own private practice in Easton in 1998. Dr. Wood opened his practice so he could provide patients with the highest quality and most innovative oral surgical care available. Dr. Wood frequently gives lectures to local study groups on the different facets of Oral Surgery. He is active in the dental community having served as a past president of the Eastern Shore Dental Society. In addition, he is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Locally, he is a member of the Easton Dental Study Club and Cambridge Dental Study Club. Dr. Wood is an active and engaged member in his community. He is an avid golfer, boater, and gardener. He resides in Easton with his wife and two small children.
